A Corso In The Kitchen–Modified What-I-Have-Handy Ziti

April 9, 2012 by Shannon

I had no idea what I was going to make for dinner and we were about an hour away from dinner time.  I saw that I had some pasta, some pasta sauce, cheese and I knew I had some fresh tomatoes and herbs out in the garden.  I had some ground sirloin but I’d not thawed it, and truth be known I am not a fan of meat in ziti, anyway.  I had some frozen cheesy garlic bread, too.  Usually one meal out of the week ends up being a last minute whatever-is-handy meal.  Tonight’s meal was one of those.
I went out to the garden and gathered a few things, headed back inside and began dicing them up.  It wasn’t long before I had a shadow.
Fresh from the garden

“Whatcha got there, Mama?”

Tah dah!

Oh…. That. Looks. So. Delicious!! I hope your family enjoyed it!!
Did you toss Rama a slice or two of that tomato? My BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE Beagle/German Shepherd cross, Rose, loves that vegetable…. Which I know I've already mentioned…. She steals them from our garden!!

Oh you added CHEESE! 😀 I luv cheese toppers! Your throw together dinner looked and sounded absolutely delish! I'll have to mention your Ziti recipe to Mom. She likes making new dishes 🙂

    Waggin at ya,
